I don't think anyone's saying that people who listen to the podcast will automatically like each other (although at least we've all got one thing in common).
So TSSH's argument that meet-ups are stupid because people who have blogs aren't automatically friends misses the point. Which is that people who've met this way MAY get on in person, and it might be great (as plenty of bloggers have discovered). I'm not afraid of meeting people on the off-chance that we won't get along, anyway.
I mean, obviously, I have no particular desire to meet "Caz" or "the Hack", but I doubt they'd be coming to a "D&B Mel Con" anyway (since A. they know both of you already, B. have recently spawned, and C. don't want anyone else to know who they are).* So is it really such a terrible idea?
Well, I guess you'll know after Saturday night...
*Okay, sure, it would be awkward if it were just five of us (D&B, C&H and me? Ouch!), but that would never happen.

Maybe you should have two Melbourne meet-ups then... One for the TSSH crew, one for everyone else.
I want you to start a segment starring that Aboriginal voice, Desci. Cmon, do some politically-incorrect podcasting.
Re Zeffs being La Porchetta without the evil: you do know Zeffs has been caught totally screwing poor Phillipino workers, right?
If being a cunt to your workers is reason to boycott a restaurant, prepare to be cooking yourself a lot of meals.
Word verification: piggs. I sure am!
Re: Blog meetups with ppl who hate each other - How do you know we don't really hate each other? IT COULD COME TO FISTYCUFFS!
